Creating outdoor spaces that meet the needs of users of the amphitheater while offering citizens and visitors a new waterfront park was the objective of this project. The esplanade now has a public space that becomes an entertainment area during major events. In addition, the layout offers an unobstructed view of the river and the river. Furniture, outdoor bleachers, a large lawn and a landscaped and artistic installation promote the appropriation of the space by the public. Unique furnishings have been planned in order to link the amphitheater to its site in a poetic way. At the mouth of the Saint-Maurice river, a circular compass-furniture indicates the direction of the great theatrical halls of the world.ALAIN CARRIER was mandated to carry out the landscaping work such as laying the paving stones for the esplanade, naturalization of the banks, the installation of prefabricated concrete bleachers and furniture-compass, the planting of perennials, shrubs and trees, as well as sodding. The work took about three months for two work teams totaling 15 employees.
